Everybody always jokes about or acknowledges the raging hormones in teenage boys and it’s often forgotten that girls have hormones, too. And they are going insane. It’s not any fun (I wouldn’t go through 15-17 again for a billion dollars), especially since common wisdom holds that girls who behave like they are actually sexual beings are big sluts. Coupled with the fact that teenage girls don’t have the best decision making skills, and yeah, trouble can happen. Which is why all of the insistence of “dating” being “chaste” in this thread sounds like a bunch of bullshit to me. A walking hormone bomb + a healthy, adult male, and they’re just going to hold hands? What-the-fuck-ever. ---

I wasn’t the most promiscuous teenager in the world, but even I got caught up in the whole “the more guys who want you, the better” thing. I never would have been as brazen as some of the girls discussed here in the thread, but there was definitely some confusion for me about whether I had any other “currency” beyond my sexuality. ---

Yes, that is what I am getting at. Is this behavior just trying to tease and provoke in an effort to get attention, or aggressive sexual desire? Pepperlandgirl believes the former and you the latter. ---

The fact of the matter is that men tend to age slower than women. It’s much harder for a woman to stay in shape and maintain her looks than it is for a woman. My brother is 34 and he’s dating a girl in his mid 20s. It’s not something that people even give a second thought to. ---

A slight thread drift, but I was just thinking that the OP is just a bit disingenuous. This thread-- and a thread about DP being a woman’s ultimate fantasy? Doesn’t compute. I think we’re feeding a troll. ---

Frankly, I think the fact that she’s not deeply suspicious of any 27-year-old man who thinks it’s a good idea to date a 16-year-old girl suggests she’s not really all that mature. Also, I didn’t have a great opinion of Mensa to begin with (seriously, a club for “smart people”?), but this thread doesn’t raise it any. ---

On the off chance the guy is on the level… When I was in high school there was this girl who was 16 at the time who was dating a 26 or 27 year old guy. We mocked this guy mercilessly whenever we saw him. You could be in for a lot of this. ---
