We’re big believers in promoting the arts in all its forms and that goes double for Dopers. So yes, you can do this. And let us know if you have gigs/etc that you would like to promote --send us an email in advance and we can discuss the terms. ---

There’s a check box at the bottom that you need to check in order to display your signature, under “Additional Options”. I believe that the administration prefers that signatures only be shown occasionally, like once per thread, or once per page or some such. (This post will be my first with a signature. My, how creative I am.) ETA: Hmm. No signature. Dunno what’s up with that. It was there on preview. ---
