# Can I make liquid soap?

This seems just a little ridiculous. Do you know how many hand lotions contain glycerin?

I can’t give a factual answer to that question, but I presume it is quite a large number.

But you know the good feeling you get when you are going to the airport and everything is going right? You got selected for pre-check, you walked through the metal detector and nothing went off, you are headed to pick up your bag, when all of the sudden you hear a little beep-beep-beep and somebody yells “Random on seven!” Then the TSA agent politely but firmly asks you to step over to the side and hold out your hands and tells you this will just take a minute as he wipes a cotton tissue over your hands. He puts the tissue in a little machine that goes beep-beep-beep and then 15 minutes later another TSA agent is grabbing your crotch.

The agents are polite. This is probably the 20th false positive just today. But they have to go through it and fill out the forms.

I’ve taken to scrubbing my hands with rubbing alcohol before I leave home.
