The worst part of the moderator agreement is the provision that I have to loan them a goat for a week every year. That poor goat is just never the same afterwards…shaking for no reason, and runs away when it sees a raincoat. ---

It _is_ interesting how often socks show up in ATMB. Let me cast a different take upon the waters. While it appears that this thread is currently being read as **handy** asked a question about Moderator Agreements with the board, but had the hidden agenda of going off on the mods/admins about “insult” policy, I submit that it is just possible that he posed the original question and then raised the second spectre after getting several (apparently attempted) humorous parody responses, by both mods and the peanut gallery, which he interpreted as insults. ---

Oh, and handy? Jill is right. While I’m sure there are exceptions, in general the likelihood of your being insulted by a moderator is in direct proportion to your having deserved it. Now get down off that horse. ---

So “Can I see the Moderator Registration Agreement” isn’t a suitable question for a forum called “About This Message Board”? Geez. And **handy** said: “It seems on the SD sometimes moderators tend to be a little insulting to the members with immunity. Maybe it’s just me? Has anyone seen or got insulted from a moderator ever?” …which is a little different to saying “the moderators are felchwads” or somesuch. Yeah, so it might be heading towards BBQ Pit territory, but it hasn’t crossed the border. I think **handy** is one of our more civilised posters, regardless of some people’s thoughts on his style. **Handy** ’s was a fair question, IMHO. He’s the type of guy who would have accepted a simple ‘no’ reply, and it would have saved a lot of hassle. ---

This is just too much!! **Handy** ’s thread is the first one I looked at, given that it was at the top of the posting list when I logged on. It never came to me, before posting _here_, to check whether the Great One had…done the rounds, so to speak (so uncharacteristic of Him, being that he usually posts but does not linger. Actually, a bit like…Well, never mind). Well, blame it on the fact that I hadn’t had my first coffee of the morning. (Yeah, that’s it: that’s as good an excuse as any other). I am hereby humbled Great Sir, I apologize profusely and I profoundly thank You for your contributions. ---
