# Can I set up a media player to pause between playlist items?

I like to listen to music while I work, but I find having songs on endless shuffle to be tiring and ultimately distracting. Is there any program I can tell to put a 10-15 second gap between songs so I can have a little silence? And yes, this is a pretty Rainman question 😛

That’s gonna be hard, as most people are trying for gapless playback. You could probably pull it off with scripting, though.But, rf nothing else, you could just put a 15 second silent MP3 in between each track.

You couldn’t do it on shuffle, though…

There is a plugin for WinAmp that does it. It’s hard to find because it’s called [Pause Between Songs 2.2](http://www.winamp.com/plugin/pause-between-songs-2-2/7294)
