Dolphins. Clearly, dolphins. They think. They talk. The have a system of pacifist ethics of cosmic proportions. They solve third-order differential equations in return for fish. They tried to warn us, but they couldn’t get their message out because they weren’t allowed on SDMB. According to John C. Lilly, once they can establish communications with us, they can become the ambassadors/interpreters between Humans and Elephants. Then we can allow the Elephants also to participate. (Yes, he really wrote all that in one of his books.) After the Elephants, diplomatic relations with other species can be developed as well. (Yes, he wrote that too.) ---
