# Can my head stay out of the MRI for my hips?

Featherlou, feet first should be fine.  
Other than that, ask for Valium.

I feel for you, I’m claustrophobic too, and when explaining the procedure to patients I have to really grit my teeth to make it sound harmless and non-threatening. I’ve probably made somebody very nervous about it, just because if it was me, I’D be very nervous about it!
