Enough to get on a tribal roll? No. But my grandmother (a direct descendant of Chief Big Elk, as obviously am I) was. She was born and raised on the Omaha reservation, and sent off (like all her brothers and sisters) to the Haskell Indian boarding school (now a university). My grandma married an Anglo, but my mom (who also married an Anglo) identifies on the Census as American Indian/Native American, was director of American Indian Projects at her university before she retired, and keeps in close touch with her cousins on the Omaha reservation, visiting them every summer.
I cop to completely looking like an average white person, but my mom does not. Any of that count for anything in your book?

One thing I’ll defend OK about is the lack of basements and tornado shelters.
Yes, the LACK of them. You see, the vast majority of houses in Oklahoma do NOT get hit by tornadoes. Actually it would be kind of stupid to buy/build one because the odds are your house will fall apart from time before it gets hit by a tornado. I’m sure in Florida, nearly every house that is ten years old or older has be “hit” by a hurricane. If you live in a area prone to flooding, you will get flooded if it rains enough. But tornadoes don’t work that way. You can live your entire life in ‘tornado alley’ and never be hit by one. Most people who live there accomplish this.
Now there new law banning municipalities from raising the minimum wage, their abortion restrictions, their sexist school policies, not to mention their inability to kill a prisoner in a dignified manner. There is very little that Oklahoma can do right.
