# Can one ask the mods to forward a message to another poster?

And the poster had turned off PMs. In the grand scheme of things it’s not stealing someone’s firstborn, but it is clearly disrespecting the user’s stated preferences, no?

The person in question chose NOT to receive PMs. THE END.

By giving a person that option, the message site is obligated to respect the choice. What are they supposed to say? “Uh, we know you do NOT want to receive PMs, but the person sending this REALLY wanted you to have it, so we’re sending it despite your wishes to the contrary.”

THAT, definitely, shows a lack of respect.
