And can’t I just fill my head with a bunch of “paranormal” mumbo jumbo, throw out science and just believe whatever the hell suits my particular whim at any moment?

Duh, Thor … regardlessof the qualitative differences in differnt people’s perception of a color, if you call it yellow, so will I. The only way we might call the same color different names is if one of us undergoes a dramatic shift in the way we perceive color after we’ve learned to associate a color with its name.
