Deeper? The Jon Doe investigation has been shut down because there was no evidence of wrongdoing. The prosecuters are being sued. Hopefully the prosecuters will be left homeless and pennyless.

The details of what went on during this illegal investigation sound like something that would happen in communist East Germany. [Prosecuters with militarized police broke into homes without knocking in the middle of the night and stole computers and documents.](http://watchdog.org/143085/fourth-amendment-raids-scott-walker/) Gag orders were placed on the vicitms of this witch hunt and were denied legal representation. And it was all over NOTHING. This investigation has been ongoing since 2010 and no evidence of wrongdoing has been discovered.

Yet lying scumbag leftist editors write headlines like:

Walker at Center of _ **Criminal Investigation!!! LOL!!!** _

When the headline should read:

Investgation into Campaign Funding Shut Down - Prosecuters Being Sued for Civil & Constitutional Rights Violations

Despite the assult of an unquestionably anti-conservative media Walker has managed to defy the left. He will win this November. Jail? Sorry BG that ain’t gonna happen.

I would argue that the kind of thing that has been, and is being, tried on Walker is preparation for the national stage. A non-stop barrage of mudslinging, innuendo, outright lies, and vicious personal attacks is pretty SOP for the Left on any Republican with aspirations to the White House. Given the ravening hatred of the teachers’ unions based on Walker’s efforts at reining in their greed, there is little that strikes me as too low for the left to descend.

After all, look at this kind of childishness -

_:shrugs:_

Walker won’t be indicted, and will be re-elected. He’s a couple of points up in the polls even after the release of the documentation that the prosecutors could find nothing. No doubt the lefties will make something else up, and feed it to each other uncritically. But I grew up in in Wisconsin, my folks still live there (in the same city as Walker) and my siblings live in the suburban and exurban towns that support him. Heck, my parents are squishy soft liberals, and they aren’t falling for the nonsense either.

These aren’t lies. These are him giving his point of view on things. Just because you find his opinion of something distasteful doesn’t make them lies.

When you said, “I understand they may bring armed poll watchers into Democratic precincts,” which of the following sentences best captures your intended meaning:

(A) I understand that it is legal for a poll watcher in Wisconsin to be armed.

(B) I am aware of Republican plans to direct armed people to Democratic precincts to serve as poll watchers.

Well, his sentence is unclear – especially since the support he offers is a cite that shows Wisconsin is an open carry state. When I first read:

> [@](#):
>
> I understand they may bring armed poll watchers into Democratic precincts.

It seemed to me to be a claim that he was aware of some plan. Having read his cite, and then re-read his sentence, it seems he’s now simply saying that he understands that it would be possible for a poll watcher in a precinct that was not hosted in a school, church, or government office building to be armed.

I have no idea what percentage of polling places in Wisconsin are NOT in churches, schools, or government offices – I suspect very few, but that’s based on my experience in another state and may be completely off base.

I did a bit of Googling, and it appears that the idea is Walker and His Evil Republican Minions will be roaming the streets on election night, snapping pictures of license plates and looking the owners up in order to decide if they need to to send thugs down to intimidate and challenge Democrats. And since WI is an open carry state, that transmogrified into armed gangs of GOP voter suppressors.

It seems a little clumsy to me - how they can tell by looking up license plates who is voting Democratic is not clear. And if it is merely to find the black voters, then the look up isn’t necessary either - just stick your head in and count noses. Nor is it really necessary to do this to find the black voters, or the Democrats - I expect mostly everyone in inner city Milwaukee and Madison of voting Democrat.

And as mentioned, I grew up in Wisconsin, and I never heard of any polling place that wasn’t in a school, church, or public building. FWIW.

They can’t, but by cross-checking the registered owners’ names with voter rolls they could at least tell who is a registered Dem.

I have voted in both a church hall and a Knights of Columbus Hall over the years. Around here they have gotten away from using schools so that they don’t have to shut down the school for the day.

They’ve used schools here forever. Never once have I known a school to be closed because it was an election day.

FYI it is not illegal to carry a gun in a church. But I really know of no churches that are polling places. (But I’m in a large metro area. YMMV in smaller communities.)

Innocent until proven guilty only applies to criminal sanctions. It does not, and should not, apply to judging a candidate’s fitness for office.

I’ve seen enough to know I don’t think he should be President.
