there is some valve out there that prevents rats from coming up thru toilet- anyone know what it is called or where to find one ? ---

This [pdf](http://www.ces.ncsu.edu/nreos/wild/pdf/wildlife/RODENT_PROOF_CONSTRUCT.PDF) has a picture of a Rat Guard one way flap valve (pdf page 10). I haven’t seen one for sale online though. There is a reference to a rat guard on this [page](http://www.nwco.net/08-AppendixBNuisanceSpecies/8-10-Rats.asp) too. ---

We normally don’t allow product endorsement or linkage to commercial sites. I’m going to allow this one, with the warning that **Gfactor** has provided a link but obviously neither he nor the READER nor any staff have had any experience with these things to know if they work, if they’re a rip-off, or what all. ---
