I used the 3-in-1 VO5 product from the dollar store.
I liked it but my wife claimed it doesn’t have the same “deodorant” properties of regular soap and if I had been sweating heavily I should also use regular bar soap, like that stuff made to clean the dirty Irish.
One good thing about being bald, a bar of soap is all I need. Just start washing my face and keep going up my forehead until I get to the back of my neck.
For some reason this reminds me of Maya Angelou’s telling of instructions on bathing which were discreet about private parts. “Wash as far down as possible, then wash as far up as possible, then wash possible.”
I’ve use Paul Mitchell shampoo as soap for years. I now have the shininess & bounciness pubic hair going. You should see how it bounces when I spin around.
Because I’m worth it!
I whip my hair back and forth!
Ahh, the crazy. I do miss it! I do not recommend douching with it, but if you must DON’T buy the peppermint. : shudder :
I have very sensitive skin, and have to be really careful which soaps I use. Dial (especially the liquid) practically strips the skin off of the back of my hands, leaving them cracked and bleeding. It’s been my experience that dish soaps are actually the best. Every since the whole “You’re Soaking in It!!” campaign, they are very careful to make it gentle for skin. I do not recommend Dawn though, it left my hair strangely dull.
I’ve been using Ajax dish soap for hair, face and body wash for almost five years now. It works a treat and doesn’t over-dry. My hair needs conditioner a couple of times per week, but it’s never stripped or over-dry.
You can water it down by half to refill hand soap pumps, or fill with water and add 3-4 drops for the foaming ones. A 90-ounce bottle costs $4.99 at Target and will last about five months. It’s worth the cost to buy a cheap bottle of shampoo that has a good pump to it, then use that pump bottle for refills. I’ve got an old Silkience bottle that I’ve been using for years now.
Life is a great deal cheaper when you read the ingredients!
I use whatever Men’s Shampoo/Conditioner-in-one is on sale as a body wash, and I am single and dating and get compliments on my smell. Which sound silly when written/read.
