Can shorter swingsets have more G forces than taller swings?

No matter how long the chains are, you always still get the same gees at the bottom. The gees at the bottom depend only on the angle, and not on anything else. Long chains will mean higher speeds, but speed is not the same thing as acceleration.

Gotchya. Thanks for the clarification.

So how should me and my parents go about raising this huge swingset upright?

You need leverage. Hard to be detailed without knowing the layout and access, but what about a block and tackle from an upstairs window, or a rope over a handy tree tied to a car to pull it up?

Sounds like a good old-fashioned barn raising to me. Check out this crappy picture. Just a bunch of guys picking it up from the top and walking their hands down the A frame until it’s vertical, with a couple of guys on the far side with ropes.

That sounds like a good idea. But it is just me and my two parents who live at this house. We would have to have a bunch of strong guys from my church to come over to my yard help us raise it.
