I’d put a lot more faith in a leader who stood up and opposed Blatter (even if if was futile) when it could have mattered than in someone who was utterly spineless for the last 16 years. ---

My understanding is that Prince Ali was the agreed upon “anti-Blatter” candidate and that no one else ran so as not to dilute the vote. Take of that what you will.
