OK, so I have the same problem as the guy that started the thread in this forum. Can someone explain what’s going on it? I could use the advice.

You’ve installed a “download manager” that also includes some not so nice advertisement crap. This thing is popping up little windows every now and again to try to entice you to use somebody’s services/buy their product.

Do as Top Banana says to delete the download manager, and you should get rid of the pop-ups too.

Also, download and run Ad-Aware to clean that sort of crap off your computer.
