Last week I heared a some music which sounded rather familiar, but I don’t know which piece it’s from. So I made a (rather quick 'n dirty) midi file of it. Can someone identify it, please? Thanks.

[Here](http://www.wakeupthe.net/x.mid) is the midi file.

It’s definitely Rossini. My hunch is it’s from “The Thieving Magpie.”

Wow, this should be a lesson to everyone. Have a well prepared question and you get a quick and accurate response. **TlighT** ’s soundclip is so much better than “It sounds like dum DUM DUM de dum.”
