# Can Someone Please Explain This To Me (Sunrise/Sunset Direction)

There’s a nice app here that will show you the path of the sun across the sky for any location and time of year.

I like the circular graph a little way down the page, where the path of the sun at different times of year is shown on the same graph. For temperate latitudes in the N hemishpere:

In winter, rises and sets in SE/SW  
Equinoxes - due E and due W  
Summer - NE/NW
