# Can someone please give me some information about a problem with Dakota ball joints?

I just talked with the local Dodge dealership (a man at the service department), trying to find out some information about a problem with Dakota ball joints. This guy was very evasive and never did give me straight answers to my questions. As a matter of fact, at one point he even said, “I was in sales for a lotta years and you won’t get me to say something bad about our products.” I don’t know anything about this subject except that my dad said he saw a news story on television about a class-action suit and upcoming recall on the ball joint problem. Can anyone give me more information on this? I own a 2002 Dodge Dakota, BTW.

Why are you going back to a dealership that is evasive and won’t give you straight answers? Dump those SOB’s and go to another dealer. Unless that’s the only Dodge dealership in your area?

Yep, you’re absolutely right. I just called the other dealership in town and talked with a very helpful man. He said that _some_ vehicles are affected and that recall notices are being sent out at this time. If I don’t hear from someone in the next month or so, I’ll give them another call.
