I know it sounds crazy. I had a problem with an armadillo digging up a flower bed. I bought a .22 and waited for him to come back, but so far, he hasn’t. The only thing different is that I got a dog and let her poop near that flower bed. I’ve read that armadillos have a keen sense of smell. Could the smell of poop from a carnivore keep them away? Is it just a coincidence?

Maybe not so crazy.

Dogs _have_ been known to keep vermin at bay.
