# Can those distracting "Check your email in UserCP" topics be deleted?

I know that as a philosophical matter nothing gets deleted from the SDMB except for spam. But those stickied “IMPORTANT: Go to your UserCP and check your email” threads/topics in each category are no longer relevant, as they were part of the process to move from vBulletin to Discourse. That has now happened. So the threads are simply a distraction and potentially confusing to new users. Could they be made to go away?

I would suggest that it is even more important to unpin them for new users, though. If everyone here has already dealt with their subject matter and unpinned them, they will just be confusing in the future. Not first priority for [@AdminModTubaDiva](https://boards.straightdope.com/groups/adminmodtubadiva) this week, but better to deal with them relatively soon.

Well that is the most useful tip I’ve read so far! I hated how on my phone those pinned topics took up **so** much space I had to constantly scroll past! Much better.
