Can we all PLEASE agree that LOST (TV Show) in the end, WAS A LOAD OF TRIPE

Hmmmm…maybe that just is a metaphor for the larger picture…all the citizens of planet Earth

My opinion of the ending is split by the last seasons story line.

On the Island: It wasn’t great, but I was OK with this ending. The Jacob/MIB could have been done a lot better, but it kind of made sense and did explain almost all the mysteries. I generally liked the final battle, the escape, and the passing of the torch. The series should have just ended with story line.

Afterlife: Just plain stupid. I guess it was supposed to be happy but the whole thing made me sad. Are we supposed to feel good about the characters just hanging out in a big bear hug singing kum-bah-yah for eternity? None of the characters introduced in the “alternate reality” really existed and all of actions of the old characters there didn’t matter all.

I choose to believe that “alternate reality” really was an alternate timeline that split off with the explosion. Then through island magic, the alternate reality is made aware of the original reality as some kind of reward. I know it’s not the case, but remembering it this way makes me feel better about the whole series.
