So far, I haven’t had any luck in finding naked pictures of Bradley Cooper. Anyone else have better luck? (please, please, please???) ---

But this logic leads women to draw a parallel between breasts and penis, and then cry unfairness because movies contain far more naked breasts than naked penis. This is ridiculous logic, and it baffles me that so many women seem to buy into it. It’s almost like they’re deliberately looking to be victims of unfairness. The correlary to the penis is the vagina, both of which show up in film with approximately equal frequency. If women want to complain that men don’t have breasts, have at it. Just don’t be surprised when people think your complaint is retarded. EDIT: Note that I’m not accusing the OP of having a martyr complex about this; her OP is cleary good-natured, light and breezy. But she uses this exact faulty logic right there at the beginning. Since I don’t think she’s being a martyr about it, I think this faulty equivalence has seeped into the culture in some way. And women have clearly bought into the premise, if not the implication, as evidenced by the OP. ---

Because in reality, women have breasts that are easily perceived in pics and film, and men do not. Men, however, have penises that are easily perceived in pics and film but women - do not. What it comes down to is that in men the primary sexual characteristics (i.e., penis!) are what is easily visible and in women it is only the secondary sexual characteristics that are easily visible. So you can be as logical as you want, but the practical aspect is - a man’s chest is never seen as overtly sexual as a woman’s breasts. And in order to be ‘equivalent’ as far as the effect on the viewer, you are going to have to show a man’s dick or at the very least his ass. A naked male chest is just not the same as a naked female chest no matter how much you want to cite physical similarities. We’re not really talking anatomy here. We are talking ‘titillation’. ---

You are absolutely right! I just recently watched _The Last Picture Show_, and there were nude scenes aplenty. The one that hammered this point home to me was the nude pool party scene. There was full on female boobs and even female bush, but all the guys were sitting around with their legs arranged so that their dicks were tucked carefully away out of sight. I got really pissed off at that. Well, that, and that a child molestation scene was played for laughs. The child was a little girl too. In fact, that whole movie really just pissed me off. And it’s supposed to be a classic. P.S. Anyone interested in the nudity of actors who have played the Doctor on Doctor Who should check out Pasolini’s _The Canterbury Tales_. That’s early Tom Baker penis. ---
