What a shitty year AND a shitty NYE. Last year sucked way worse, but at least my shitty NYE had me in LA with friends and money, even though I had yo hit the road and move across the country the next day. Now im just at TGI Friday’s in Arkansas by myself with scraped change. And no wnd 8n sight. ---

My sister died in May. Her best friend of 60+ years and I have been online toasting her memory this evening. I’m going back and forth between the Twilight Zone marathon and That’s Entertainment! Flip the channels just right and you can see Will Robinson wish Gene Kelly to the cornfield! ---

Cats were both on Ms. P, so she couldn’t move when the ball fell. We split a can of Dogfish Head Sea Quench Ale with our youngest (who has no doubt gone upstairs to talk with his girl friend). Our eldest met a friend in DC, then went to a New Year’s party at a local brewpub. Hopefully he won’t be kneewalking when he gets home; the text he sent a few minutes ago was intelligible. I’m fixin’ to turn in for the night, but those damn kids with their fireworks are making it hard to relax. ---

Hey, it’s still 2019 out here! What’s 2020 like, eastern time zone denizens? I had one cocktail, and I’m sleeeeepy. My dad used to say that whatever you do at midnight is what you’ll do in the new year. (So he gave us pennies at midnight for a prosperous new year). If that’s true, I’ll be sleeping through 2020. ---

Getting close for us central time zoners. 2020 is shaping up to be life changing for me. I have very high hopes. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way on a New Years eve. It feels good.
