Honestly, I rarely start Pit threads at all and almost never specifically Pit another poster, but the annoyance of dealing simultaneously in Great Debates with [a belligerently ignorant Christian](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=692787) and [a belligerently ignorant anti-Christian](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?t=692542) makes me wish that they’d just go wrestle with each other’s ignorance one-on-one, like two blind toothless serpents pathetically flopping around in a snake pit gumming each other, and leave the rest of us to discuss something interesting. ---

That would be some interesting bickering to read/watch. That is one of the most hilarious things that could happen on a message board: confine a Christian and an anti-Christian to one thread where they can troll each other to death. It would be like putting two spiders in a small glass cage. ---

reef shark is just your standard creationist troll. There are a million of him out there, and not one of them has ever made an interesting or important statement. Their entire internet persona is based on deliberate, aggressive ignorance and lies, and there is literally nothing anyone can say to change their mind on even the tiniest point of fact. I lost interest in the breed years and years ago. ---

I don’t think it would be interesting at all. Their respective spheres of woo-woo-hood do not intersect in any meaningful way. Now, if we could get \*\*Norma \*\*with a reincarnationalist of a different flavour, or \*\*reef shark \*\*with an Ancient Astronutter, then it might be entertaining. ---
