That’s where my frustration stems form, though. “Liberal” has become the new bugbear of the right-wing, with people like Coulter throwing it out as exemplary of all that’s wrong with the world. Many self-identified conservatives here on the boards like to use it to describe anyone with whom they disagree. I like homosexuals? I’m a liberal. Hate Ann Coulter? Liberal. Think that the President shouldn’t be canonized? Liberal. It’s limiting, it’s foolish, it’s representative of laziness and a total lack of intellectual rigor. It pisses me off.
