# Can we unpin stale threads?

Is there a reason the “IMPORTANT: Go to UserCP and verify your email” topic still pinned in almost every forum? There is no “UserCP” here. At least replace it with usable instructions.

When I unpin a thread, it just seems to go away. Where does it go? How do I find it if I want to read it later or re-pin it?

Likely it gets placed in the topics list according to last post date like any regular topic. That’s why I don’t unpin anything.
