That’s a very loose take on “established”, I figure. I could buy that it was intentional in the original script, but at the very least I gather you don’t _have_ to be a suicide to get into the afterlife civil service, i.e. you don’t have to have been crazy to work here, but it helps.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen it, but I remember it as being established that suicide=civil service, YMMV.

It’s obviously the director’s cut of _The Seventh Seal_, but I suppose you’d have to be a film aficionado to know what I’m talking about.
