Well, it’s definitely my favorite line of hers in that movie, but I think you and I are the only ones who think so.

Here’s a cute story; about a year after I saw _Titanic_ I was reading the Durants’ _The Age of Faith_ and came across what may have the inspiration for that line. When Heloise was writing to her former lover Peter Abelard (who had violated his monastic vows to make love to her), she told him (paraphrasing): “Men call me harlot for loving thee, but I would rather be thy harlot than Vespasian’s empress!”

BTW, I see lots of Princess Leia lines here, but not my favorite: “You came in that thing? You’re braver than I thought!”

“I haven’t been fucked like that since grade school.”
Marla Singer (Helena Bonham Carter), _Fight Club_
Not exactly famous, but a classic in my book. 🙂

Well, she’s not exactly human, but Moro (the wolf goddess) from Mononoke Hime (Probably my favorite movie) has a great one.

“I caught her human parents defiling my forest. They threw their baby at my feet as they ran away. Instead of eating her, I raised her as my own. Now my poor, ugly, beautiful daughter is neither human, nor wolf. How could you help her?”

It’s a fair to poor speech, but Gillian Anderson’s delivery is perfect.

Lady Eboshi (I cannot remember the actress) has some good, memorable ones.

“He’s a god, it will take more than one shot.”

“I’m going to show you how to kill a god. A god of life and death. The trick is, not to fear him.”

Sigourney Weaver, Aliens

“I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.”

(I love that movie, also one of my all time faves.)

Girl 1: Face it lady, we’re younger and faster!
[Evelyn rear-ends the other car six times.]
Girl 1: What are you DOING?
Girl 2: Are you CRAZY?
Evelyn: Face it, I’m older and I have more insurance!”

Woman Customer:“Don’t think you’re something you’re not. I used to have your job.”
Ronna: “Look how far it got you.”
_and_
Claire: “You know what I like best about Christmas? The surprises. I mean it’s like you get this box, and you’re sure you know what’s inside of it. You know, you shake it, you weight it, you’re totally convinced you have it pegged. No doubt in your mind. But then you open it up and it’s completely different. You know, wow, bang, surprise. I mean it’s… it’s kind of like you and me here, you know? I’m not saying it’s anything it’s not, it’s… c’mon, this time yesterday who woulda thunk it?”
-Go
