# Can you open a stuffit (sit) file on a PC?

So I have a “sit” file that I need to open. I know it’s the Mac equivalent of a zip file… is there any way to open this on a PC?

There’s a “stuffit” utility for Windows. I used to have it around on an old work machine, but it’s been a long time since I’ve had to mess with an Apple stuffit file. Aladdin seems to own the utility now:

Thanks **yabob**. This page led me to a dowload page at …duh… [http://www.stuffit.com](http://www.stuffit.com) I knew this one would be an easy one. I guess I’m just lazy.
