It boggles me that so many people have trouble with the east coast, especially New England. In my mind, they are the easiest states because, compared to the midwest, the west, and the great plains states, they are much more individually unique. The only ones that look alike are Mass and Conn, but Mass has the little loop at the end to let you know it’s him, and VT and NH, but NH is upside-down ( 😛 ). I’m sure being from the northeast helps me know them better, but still, I would say it’s a fact that our state shapes are more unique, and not a lot of square sides, thus making New Mexico look a lot like Colorado, which looks a lot like Utah. And Nebraska, Kansas, and Arkansas? Stop copying each other! ---

Got 41 first time round, and all 48 second time round, which isn’t bad considering I ain’t a septic. ---

All right, about half the time. The only thing keeping me from getting them all instantly is the time it takes to drag the state name. I’ve been to 35 of the 50 states, so I’ve got to get to the other 15, of which nearly all are out west. ---

I got 33 the first time. The western half of the country was a snap, but I had trouble remembering the exact locations of all those eastern states. I tried it a couple more times until I got them all, but the message I got was, “You lose, you got 48 out of 48”. Huh? ---

We had a prof whose middle initial was C and we routinely called him Firstname C- Lastname because his grades all looked like that. I got all of them in about half the allotted time, but as a map freak, my only barrier was my inability to work a mouse quickly. ---

I’m racing, racing, get done… and there’s 50% of the alloted time still left. And the message I received was: “You have failed 3rd grade. The short bus is coming to pick you up. Score: 48/48.” :rolleyes: Actually, in addition to third grade I also passed my programming courses. 😛 But this wasn’t difficult… I could probably draw most of the states if asked. ---

Got it in about half the time allotted. When I was a child, I took great pride in naming all the states on a map and knowing the capitals. I don’t quite remember ALL the capitals now, though, but I do know the four state capitals named after a U.S. President. Can you? Without loooking. ---
