Can you plagiarise your own work?

Wait. That doesn’t mean I disbelieve Chronos, just that Asimov anthologies are where I see that convention I lot. I like Chronos’ story, but for the life of me, I’m blanking on which stories he’s talking about. But giving just how much the man wrote in his lifetime, I’d be surprised if he *could *remember it all!

In my experience publishing (academic works) it’s ethical to communicate that you are borrowing from your previous work. When I describe my research methods in different publications, they tend to look very similar - there’s only so many ways you can describe interviewing techniques and the like. When I introduce an idea or concept that has previously appeared in a publication, I cite it - myself (Hollow, 2006).
