# Can you recommend a home office chair for a heavy person?

I would definitely recommend being able to try out the chair before you buy it. When I was trying out office chairs there’d be chairs that seemed like they were almost identical and yet one was very comfortable and one wasn’t at all. It’s hard to tell from just the pictures and dimensions whether you’ll really like it.

I used to not think about what I sat on when I worked.  
I have a laptop and sit with it wherever I have to: on dining chairs, stools, in bed, and on the floor. It’s uncomfortable: the body gets tired quickly and always wants to get up or change position. So I decided to pick a good chair. To do this, I talked to an office furniture buyer and a vertebrologist - a doctor who treats spinal diseases.
