Asking for a friend who described it. It was written in the late 70’s and it begins with a soldier whose task is to patrol a room for 8 hours, and in this room is some kind of bomb or nuclear device. After a long boring time, the soldier…drops his pants and has ‘relations’ with the bomb. Apparently messing it up with his super sperm so it’s disabled? That’s all I have. Does it ring a bell?
