Can you tell the gender of a dog from the front?

We have two basenjis, and people often assume they are a M/F pair. (They’re not, they’re littermate sisters.) Most people assume Zef is the male - she’s a little taller, and more lightly built, than Epi. We got her a pink collar to help deflect the assumptions, but she still gets referred to as “he” a lot. Oh well.

Also, OP, it’s more correct to refer to animals’ sex, rather than gender. /nitpicky zoo educator.

It’s really easy to tell if the dog in question has recently given birth.
