I can not. In fact, the more inappropriate and unfunny a farting situation should be, the funnier it gets. ---

When you are on an elevator with Marvin Davis (not to speak ill of the dead but he was one great big gasbag) (and frankly, once Mr. Davis was on an elevator, there wasn’t room for a whole lot of other people), and he’s not just your boss’s boss but owns the company, and you have to politely pretend you’re not gagging? Okay, I take it back. Wasn’t funny then but I can see the humor now. ---

Most kids’ shows and movies. It’s just not really funny when it’s scripted. It’s also a lot less funny when it seriously embarrasses someone. I have certain friends who would be totally humiliated if they farted at an inappropraite time and would feel even worse if I laughed at them. ---

I can’t think of a time when it \*is \*funny. I’m not one for body-function humor. It wasn’t even funny to me when I was a child. ---

When you are with a loved one in the last few minutes of life and they start to lose body control and shake signalling the end is near. They fart and maybe shit themselves a little costing them dignity even in the last few moments. Then, they suddenly go limp. Yes, this has really happened to me. ---

The only time they are funny is when it’s my daughter. Everything she does is funny. Farting is particularly _unfunny_ when one is cooped up in an airtight container with the farter for 7 hours. ---

I never found farting very funny, either, and still don’t. I find very few situations where it is so…just me I guess. ---

Farts are always funny. Especially revenge farts, the ones you inflict on your buddies as payback for some of theirs. ---

Count me with the “never funny” crowd. Jeuvenile? Yes. Rude in public? Yes. Funny? Not ever. My thinking, if you can’t help yourself and must befoul the public air, you’ve either got intestinal issues that need attenting in a restroom (or maybe medical if chronic) or mental issues because it’s simply a cry for attention. ---
