Unfortunately, Laurier is less Spock-like on the new five.
I think that’s compensated for by all the space stuff on the back. 
I got a new $5 bill the other day. I agree that it’s more difficult to “Spock” the Laurier, but the space stuff on the back is pretty cool.

…And two years on, the paper notes are becoming rare in day-to-day life.
Hey man, I just got a paper $5 at the LCBO on the weekend. I even commented on it with the cashier as in “Man, I thought all of these were destroyed by now.”
They’re (paper) still around but fading fast.
