> I have a feeling that though the Conservatives are neck and neck in the polls, when voterrs go to the ballot boxes there will be a lot that have a change of heart and write Liberal down. I also think that the majoirty of undecideds will go Liberal when all is said and done, so I predict that the Liberals will win about 135 seats, with the NDP eeking out enough to make up the difference in a minority government.

Wow.

How close was I? I’m glad that Sociology / Statistics major I took at Queen’s actually did something for me.

As it stands right now:

Lib 137, Con 95, Bloc 54, NDP 21, Ind 1.

Thanks 🙂

Final count as of right now is exactly 135 for the Liberals. Wow.

Well as much as I do not like Harper, he gave one good statement. This is indeed a soft mandate to the Liberals. In 2 years or so when the next election is called the race will be interesting again.

As of 8am the morning after, it is Liberals with 135 seats, and the NDP making up enough to bring the liberals one short of the 155 needed to carry a vote in a minority government.

Are you as good at other predictions? Will I become wealthy? Will I be lucky in love?

Three cheers to Curious Canuck… an amazing prediction!

Did anyone see when a Toronto-area riding had the Marxist Leninists leading when 2 polls reporting? That was so surreal to see Peter Mansbridge reporting that.

I have watched/read/listened to exactly ZERO minutes of post election commentary, since my day has been surreally busy with other things. I plan to have a good read later, but I wanted to check out this thread, since I remembered some of the predictions.

Again, amazing Curious Canuck. You did better than most other “pundits”.
