Help, I’m trying to set up Quicken to download transactions from my bank and I can’t figure it out. My bank is Royal Bank (RBC) and it’s not listed in the program even though the RBC website says it supports the program. How do I set this up? I also have Microsoft Money but it too has the same problem. I try to download from RBC and I think it saves the file bit it never transfers into the program.

Thanks for any help you can give

I went to the RBC website and it appears that when you download the information it is in a file, it does not diredtly update Quicken. Most likely it comes down in a comma delimited format file or the Quicken file format which has the extension QIF (Quicken Information File).

Search your computer for _.qif. If you find the file go into Quicken then choose File -\> import_. Browse to the file and it should pull in the data. Note, back up your data file before doing this. I doubt it will blow up anything but bakups are your friend.

At least it was fie -\>import when I did Quicken support years ago. I was on the first online support team for Quicken.
