# Canadian wildfire smoke ruining Americans' summer... letter from Congress members

Tonight’s CFL game between the Calgary Stampeders and the Saskatchewan Roughriders has been delayed because of wildfire smoke. Yep, it’s too smoky to play in Regina.

Communities have been evacuated, lives have been lost, homes have been destroyed, and firefighters (including American ones) are doing all they can to simply contain the blazes.

Given all that, perhaps these American legislators should think twice before complaining to the Canadian ambassador about how wildfire smoke is ruining some Americans’ summer.

I thought most Republicans believed that it is an Og-given right to put whatever you want into the air, no matter whom it affects. After all, wildfire smoke is just another hydrocarbon, isn’t it?
