To answer the OP: no, I think free trade is important and it’s also important to maintain good relations with our neighbours. ---

Well regardless, most countries can and may bar entry if you have a criminal conviction. It’s more a matter of how hard they check. ---

Same here. It’s been ages since I bought a California wine or Kentucky bourbon, and I see no need to get them now. I think the only American good that I regularly consume is the Racing Form, because there is no alternative to that. I’m not about to give that up, but it’s not very expensive anyway.
