Wasn’t this term invented by Dr. Kellogg? I honestly thought it had gone out of vogue the better part of a century ago. Why do people take common-sense ideas (eat a healthy diet, get regular exercise, stay hydrated) and take them to ridiculous extremes?

**Moderator’s Note:** As was already pointed out, the entire original post of this thread is little more than cut-and-pasted bits from someone else’s web page (linked to in **Anthracite** ’s post above). We do not allow infringements on other people’s intellectual property on this message board. A poster who wants to refer to other web pages in support of his or her arguments should provide links, along with short, clearly marked quotations from the linked-to articles if desired.

Furthermore, **David Wilson** , if the opinions of others are irrelevant to you, you’re not going to get very far in a forum called Great _Debates_.

For these reasons, I have locked this thread, in addition to deleting its original post.

If you want to try again to present certain views on cancer and its causes and prevention, without violating the rules on intellectual property, and engaging in an actual _debate_ with people who disagree with you, please feel free.
