Sure, you’ve got your basic “you absorbed your twin in utero” type deal. But the teratoma can also be 100% from your own tissue. Just some little clump of stem cells that got smooshed into the wrong place and time, and grew into something wrong. Then your immune system won’t attack the teratoma. ---
