Cannonball Run Record Broken. Why no arrests?

Well, then we’re generally in agreement, then. I would have assumed that 10% was a reasonable number for actually getting tickets, but I would have figured 11-14%* were getting pulled over and 3% were let off for some reason. In retrospect, I assume that everyone I see getting pulled over was originally spotted for speeding. I am a fool, but we all judge others by our measure of ourselves. So, lop the first 4% off the top for other charges, do the 3% adjustment for folks who can get out of a ticket for whatever cute and/or charming reasons (hey, I want a human cop to pull me over, can’t fault them), and you get to that unverified 7% annual figure that I’m totally comfy with.

But we could be wrong! On the INTERNET! Ehh, it’s good enough. We’re pretty far from “Why don’t they arrest those guys?”. We should probably start a GD thread about “Why don’t inveterate speeders feel more pain for their behavior?” if we want to go further.
