I tend to agree with pbbth - people often recommend playing one company against the other, but I don’t think that is your best plan in the long run - you will be noted and remembered as the guy who went looking for a new job.
Do you think anyone remembers and respects the guy who stays in the same position for 15 years?
It doesn’t hurt to be thought of as a little bit of a “dick”. Not that wanting a job that has some growth potential makes you dickish.
To the OP. Your current job sounds stupid. Try out another company.
I agree with this too. If you decide to go to the new job, I wouldn’t even give your previous company the opportunity to make an offer to keep you. You’ll be remembered as the guy who bullied (for lack of a better word) them into giving you a raise when times were already tough enough.
