# Can't open cnn.com -- get error message?

Hey everyone, I hope some smart can help me. Up until a few weeks ago, I was able to click on [CNN.com](http://CNN.com) and read the articles. For some reason I don’t know, I keep getting the following error message and CNN disappears. Please bear in mind I am no computer genius and will not be fixing this problem with umpteen thousand of dollars of new equipment and weird software and difficult procedures.

Internet Explorer cannot open the website [http://www.cnn.com](http://www.cnn.com). is the error message I get. No explanation, and the site just disappears. Is there anything simple that anyone can sugget I try? Thanks, Medstar

Does [http://edition.cnn.com/](http://edition.cnn.com/) work?

Scan for malware. The CNN site is fine. The problem is almost certainly in your computer, but it is probably quite fixable.

I’m running a scan on my system now. I’ll report back what I find. Thanks for the suggestion; I probably wouldn’t have thought to do that myself.
