# Can't post with Opera?

For the past few days I have been unable to post using Opera, forcing me _shudder_ to use Internet Explorer.
Whenever I click on “submit” or “preview”, I get the message:
\*Bad Request
Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand.
The request line contained invalid characters following the protocol string.\*
Is the problem on my side of things or could this be related to changes made at the SDMB?
I upgraded to the latest version of Opera, thinking it might solve the problem but nothing has changed.

Have you tried another browser, say Firefox or Netscape?

I’m posting this with Opera 5.12, and I posted last night with Opera 7.54. I don’t think it’s the browser itself.

I post with the most recent version of Opera, and haven’t had any issues.
(Of course, I’m at work at the moment and using IE, but I posted via Opera this morning and it was fine.)

I’m using Opera with no problems. ver. 7.54
Have you tried emptying your cache ?
Go to Tools/Preferences/History and Cache:
Empty your cache, tick off caching for docs/images/other. Set Check Documents to Always.
Close your browser. Restart. See if it helps.
