Wow, three new people! All right (\*\*Honey \*\* you are most definitely welcome, and I’m adding you to my list!) October 15th, at the Altamont Orchards. I will update sometime in the beginning of October with a time, and if someone needs a carpool then we can work it out then. Also if you all have your e-mails in your profile, I’ll send you an e-mail with directions, the website, etc., or you can e-mail me at [elenia25@gmail.com](mailto:elenia25@gmail.com). We are going apple-picking, then a hayride, and afterwards we’ll figure it out. Some people have long drives, so they may have to leave early, but we’ll try to have dinner together at least, and then whomever wants to, we can hit a bar or sample the Albany nightlife (HA!) Here’s the directions to the place: From the East I-90 to Rt. 20 (Western Ave.) exit to Rt. 20 west, 10 miles to Rt. 397, left on Rt. 397 1 mile on the left. From the West NY Thruway to Exit 25 Exit 25 to Rt. 7 West to Rt. 146 West to Rt. 20 West to Rt. 397 (or) I-88 to Duanesburg exit to Rt. 20 East 5 miles to Rt. 397 From the North Northway I-87 to the end. Rt. 20 west 10 miles to Rt. 397. Left on Rt. 397; 1 mile on left. From the South NY Thruway I-87 to Exit 24 to Rt. 20 West (Western Ave.) exit to Rt. 20 West, 10 miles to Rt. 397, left on Rt. 397, 1 mile on left I’ll e-mail everyone tonight as well, and we can plan on a time. I just called them, and they do apple picking from 10 AM to 4 PM. Should we meet around noon, to give the out-of-town Dopers time to get in? Alas, I cannot make it. ☹ I have traveled the past two weekends, and will travel again the next two weekends (22nd and 29th) so I need a break at some point. And with gas prices being so high, so does my wallet. Maybe next time. ---

Just wanted to chime in and say it’s sadistically refreshing to see that the same ‘herding cats’ phenomenon that occurs down here when trying to get a bunch of local dopers together also manifests itself up on your end of the Hudson. :d&r: 😃 ---
