Moved to action by the “dates in songs” threads, one question has been rattling around in my head for a long time. What car brands / models are specifically mentioned in songs? Some that come to mind straight away include: 1. Lord won’t you buy me a Mercedes Benz (Macy Gray?) 2. Pink Cadiallic 3. How Bizarre (OMC) …“is that a Chey '69?” 4. Mustang Sally Any to add - please only include those that are reasonbly specific - for example omitting “Little Deuce Coupe” or “Greased Lightening” Many thanks ---

Little Red Corvette (although that’s not exactly talking about cars) Feeder’s song “Buck Rogers” contains the line “He’s got a brand new car / Looks like a Jaguar” (Fun song, terrible lyrics) ---

Richard Thompson has a nice ditty about an english auto. Too bad they all don’t run as good as the one in his song. Then theres “_Ford Econoline_”, too. The ZZ Top songs that aren’t about oral sex usually mention a car, and even some of the ones that are about oral sex do, too. Lets not forget “_Red Barchetta_”. ---
