There are several people here that do that. I’ve thought of doing it myself, just so I’m a little more aware of what’s around me.
Of course, the one place I really should have had it was where my boss _was_ spying on me. Didn’t think of it then, darn it.

I have one, for just that reason. I’m in cubicle hell. I’m not one of those types who turn my monitor so that no one can see it when they walk by. (I always think those people must be playing games 24-7) I’d rather my back face the entrance so that I can concentrate without being distracted by everybody who walks by.

I recently got moved from a fabulous office to a storage closet. (no lie.) Said closet doens’t have a door, so I am basically in a big cubical. Monitor is facing door. It’s all about the feng sui.

I am one of those people… I can’t stand to sit with my back to the door, I’m always being snuck up on. I don’t understand how people CAN sit like that. First rule, never sit with your back to the door.

Nothing in the world will send my coffee flying and my heart racing like coming up behind me and booming “Good Morning”!
I’m VERY jumpy, so I have a mirror on my cube wall and I face partially toward my cube opening. The rear-view mirrors are a great idea.

I’m with the Goddess on this one!
I can’t stand to have my back to a door, anywhere, including restaurants. Far back corner booth is best (not that I’m paranoid or anything). I have one of those round fisheye mirrors for when I’m turned around working on a project in my cube.

They way that the cubicles are set up in my office, you can’t help but to face the wall and leave your back exposed. So, I’ve taken three CD’s from the IT dept and taped them (shiney side out) strategically to the inside walls of my cube. I can now fully see behind and to the side of me. Nothing like being paranoid in the workplace, uh?

I sit in the front of the office, what amounts to the “reception” area. It just wouldn’t do to have me facing the wall, so nobody can sneak up on me. And yes, I do goof off ALL DAY LONG…
